It finally feels like it's time to get the campers out. And maybe its time to do the little tasks leftover from last fall. Maybe new roof seams, maybe that AC not working as well. Give me a call.

Unlike many companies who follow the campers south for the winter, we are here year-round offering mobile service during the cold months. Yes, that means even in the freezing temps we will try to get to you. Especially if it's a furnace or water system.
Its about time to consider doing your spring tank flush to make everything nice for the season. Start with 1/4 cup bleach or 1 cup of vinegar with your first fresh fill. Flush all the lines with the sanitizer solution and let sit for 12-24 hours. Fill your hot tank or lines as well to sanitize. Drain everything and fill with fresh water again. Do this anytime you feel the fresh water system gets the sulphur smell or you are concerned there is some bad water. Also, don't store water in your tank for more than about 2 weeks. If you are not using the camper, drain everything. This leads to algae and gunk growing in the tank. Yuck.
Check the batteries before placing in camper. Hopefully they would have been on a charger over the winter and protected from the cold. For lead acid, make sure the water level is full. Sealed batteries shouldn't need maintenance, other than the recharge and to make sure there isn't corrosion to the posts. Once they are mounted again, make sure the charge is maintained by either a solar charger or keeping the unit plugged in. Interested in solar- I can create small packages that will gurantee the batteries are always charged. All batteries are sensitive to complete discharge, shortening the usable lifespan and costing you more.
If you were like me and didn't rotate your tires while the camper was parked over the winter, expect a flat spot to have developed. Make sure the tires are inflated to the spec on the sidewall. How old are your tires? Usually consider a new set somewhere in the 4-5 year age range. Check for sidewall cracks, unusual wear patterns, overall condition and consider getting new ones. Trust me, blown tires on the side of the interstate are not what you want to experience.
