Unlike many companies who follow the campers south for the winter, we are here year-round offering mobile service during the cold months. Yes, that means even in the freezing temps we will try to get to you. Especially if it's a furnace or water system.
I usually like to watch the weather and plan on trying to summerize once the last freeze danger is gone. This can be around mid March in Colorado. I like to start with 1/4 cup of bleach or 1 cup vinegar in a full fresh water tank. Use this sterilzed water to run through the lines and clear out any antifreeze that might be leftover from winter. This needs to sit in the lines for about 24 hours, then can be flushed with just fresh water. Don't forget your bypass valves or system for the water heater. Make sure they are set correctly before trying to turn it on.
If you did a good job of keeping the batteries warm and charged over the winter, then now is the time to make sure they are ready to go. For lead acid, make sure the distilled water level is correct. On Lithium, make sure the BMS is active and running correctly. Batteries can still be sensitive to the cooler nights for spring, but they do well if kept above 32F. Remember, just one episode of freezing for any style battery will significantly reduce its lifetime.
Spring is a great time to check out the tires, especially after sitting all winter. Assure the pressure is set correctly. Check your spare too! Trailer tires should be set to the max cold temp. They are not like vehicle tires that can run a little squishy. There will also be a flat spot the first time you get them out. Check for wear and cracking to the sidewalls. Typically you will need to replace the trailer tires every 3-5 years in Colorado. Been there, done that, don't wait too long and experience a blowout on the side of the interstate!
