We will be taking a short vacation 10/11-20th, but will be back in time for winterizations.
We started with a small travel trailer and a kiddo who wanted to see the world. That was 13 years ago, and we have learned so much since then.

Offering mobile RV maintenance and repair service in the Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming area.

Unlike many companies who follow the campers south for the winter, we are here year-round offering mobile service during the cold months. Yes, that means even in the freezing temps we will try to get to you. Especially if it's a furnace or water system.
I usually like to watch the weather and plan on trying to winterize when it freezes for at least 3 nights in a row. In CO this means somewhere just before Halloween. Empty all the tanks, including removing the plug or anode from the fresh tank. Empty the low point drains and then close them again. Turn water heater bypass valves, if you have them, and then use the pump to push winterizer through the water lines. Don't forget the exterior shower or faucets! I make a pigtail with about 2ft of clear tubing and a quick 1/2" swivel connection to attach to the pump to draw winterizer through. Also make sure you are using at least a -50F winterizer to protect the system. Don't buy the cheap stuff, it's not worth the risk when we hit -10 in January.
Time to remove the batteries from your rig if you are not planning on going out again until spring. All types of batteries (even lithium) will have damage and reduces life if allowed to stay below freezing. If you don't have a warming mechanism built in, please remove the batteries and put them on an appropriate trickle charger, meant for your type. Lithium requires a much higher recharge voltage than standard chargers can provide.
I do recommend covering your rig during the off season to extend the life of your roof. Covers and paint are cheap in comparison to needing a new roof or having a leak develop in the off season. Fall is also a great time to make sure your roof seams are good to go, or scrape and repair before putting the camper away. Covers protect from the intense UV damage that we get at this altitude and also from the aggressive freeze/ thaw cycles in a typical CO winter.
